Chapter 115: The Technological Martial God
Half an hour later, Wu Hua finally saw his "prize fighter" in the demonstration area, and then he wondered if his eyes were playing tricks on him.
The object on the appraisal stand was neither the flying dragon he had imagined, nor a majestic tiger, nor even some stray cat or dog; it was a person!
A living, breathing human!
She had short golden hair and wore a fiery red battle suit that appeared to be made of cloth, of rather poor quality. Her body was incredibly muscular—curvaceous where it should be, and firm where it ought to be. Her skin was snow-white, her face beautiful yet resolute, her features well-defined and heroic. She stood on the appraisal stand with her arms crossed, chin tilted up as she gazed at the crowd in the distance with a haughty, almost disdainful air, as if looking down upon all living things.
How was this any different from that female martial arts master?
The only difference was that she was one-tenth the size of a normal human, no bigger than a fist. Yet, in terms of appearance and physical development, she was indistinguishable from a real woman.
Wu Hua widened his eyes. "This is my pet?"
910 said respectfully, "Please, give her a name."
Wu Hua was stunned. "You didn't just pull some test-tube baby out to scam me, did you? How am I supposed to raise a person?"
910 laughed. "Of course not. This is simply the pet appraised from your doll. Please, name her."
Wu Hua was speechless for a long moment before saying, "Let’s call her Yiyi. Yeah, easy to remember."
910 immediately took out a handheld computer and began entering the name into the master system.
"Mr. Mad Gun, congratulations. Yiyi has officially become your pet. She is an energy-based technological pet with a high level of artificial intelligence," 910 explained.
Wu Hua breathed a sigh of relief. "So, she just looks exactly like a real person, but is actually an energy-synthesized entity?"
"That’s not entirely accurate, but it’s close enough," 910 said with a wink. "Mr. Mad Gun, please follow me to the demonstration stage to appraise her pet category."
The demonstration area was currently crowded with curious players. When Yiyi was placed on the ray-scanning platform, many players stared in wonder. "What on earth is that?"
Cameras all around immediately emitted red rays, which circled Yiyi to activate her pet genes.
A while later, images appeared on the electronic screen above:
It looked like a spacious arena where a female warrior in fiery red armor dual-wielded energy swords. With a sudden dash forward and a roar of "Ya!", white rays of light erupted. Upon closer inspection, it was the standard warrior skill, the Heaven and Earth Cross Sword. The warrior was heroic and filled with killing intent, appearing as though she could conquer any foe.

"Whoa—" A thunderous gasp erupted from the crowd. "Whose pet is that?"
Wu Hua’s jaw dropped like a pancake. "I’ve hit the jackpot this time, wahahaha!"
Once activated, Yiyi’s bright blue eyes were exceptionally beautiful as she stared at Wu Hua, though her attitude remained coldly arrogant.
Wu Hua quickly stepped forward and stored her in his pet space. The pet menu immediately displayed the stats:
Pet: Yiyi
Type: Valkyrie (Technology)
Owner: Mad Gun
Level: 1
HP: 50
MP: 50
Strength: 5
Defense: 5
Agility: 10
Intelligence: 90
Normal Resistance: 2%
Stamina: 50/50
Fatigue: 0%
Hunger: 1%
Intimacy: +1
Growth: 0%
Mood: Calm
Unallocated Attribute Points: 1
Skills: Energy Decomposition (F-level feeding skill), War Roar (F-level auxiliary attack skill), Heaven and Earth Cross Sword (F-level attack skill), Eight Directions Return (F-level recovery skill)
"My goodness, she has more skills than I do." Wu Hua looked further down and saw that Yiyi even had an equipment tab, including armor, boots, weapons, hats, cloaks, gloves... she was exactly like a normal player.
Wu Hua tried adding his 1 attribute point to her Constitution. The stats changed immediately: Constitution Specialization +1. Looking at the status bar, her HP was now 75.
"Wahahaha, this is beyond satisfying." Wu Hua quickly took the pet manual—a beautifully packaged e-book—from 910 and dashed out of the pet shop. He didn't want to cause a scene; his current mission was to find a place to read the manual and quickly level Yiyi up.
Wu Hua knew he had found something extraordinary. To get a pet like this after being tortured so miserably by the Valkyrie master—if he had known, he would have let her abuse him dozens of times!
He knew that a pet’s attribute growth was only half that of a player’s, so how much learning specialization would be needed for 90 Intelligence?
"I’ve really made it big this time." Wu Hua jumped into a taxi. "Driver, please take me to Master Monica’s Boutique Factory in the western suburbs, 1340 T99 Street."
In the factory’s research lab, after reading the manual, Wu Hua summoned Yiyi. Ice Coffee and Brick MM watched with great interest.
"Can this little person understand what we’re saying?" Ice Coffee asked.
Brick MM adjusted her glasses. "Theoretically, she should."
"Yiyi, can you understand me?" Wu Hua asked, leaning down.
Yiyi stood on the glass display case, still with her arms crossed, looking coldly at Wu Hua before letting out a soft huff through her nose.
Wu Hua said, "So you can understand me?"
Yiyi huffed again, her expression one of utter disdain, as if mocking Wu Hua. The implication was clear: with her 90 Intelligence, he was severely underestimating her.
Wu Hua was baffled. "Little one, you’re quite arrogant, aren't you?"
Ice Coffee and the others were amused and reached out to touch Yiyi.
"Ya-hey—" Yiyi suddenly let out a loud roar, leaped up, and kicked Ice Coffee in the face. Ice Coffee’s gold-rimmed glasses fell off, a "-1" damage value floated above his head, and Yiyi returned to her standing position, looking as arrogant as ever.
This time, it was Wu Hua’s turn to laugh. The little one had actually used the "War Roar" skill; she had jumped so high. She was a natural-born killer.
"That’s definitely my style. Cool." Wu Hua gave a thumbs up.
A triumphant smile played on the corner of Yiyi’s mouth. She gave Wu Hua a thumbs up back, then turned and flipped a middle finger at Ice Coffee.
Ice Coffee crouched on the floor, fumbling around like a blind man. "Ouch, where are my glasses? Help me find them! I’m nearsighted by 600 degrees, oh my god!"
Wu Hua noticed that his intimacy level had increased by 1 point, and he couldn't help but roar with laughter.
After reading the manual, Wu Hua realized he hadn't actually gotten a bargain, because the things Yiyi needed to eat were incredibly expensive: "High-grade crystals, high-grade crystal sources, and technological energy."
"Where am I going to get these?" Wu Hua worried. "Brick-sis, what about those crystals Tu Shu and the others brought back yesterday?"
"Sold them," Brick MM answered bluntly.
Wu Hua said, "Are there any places that specialize in crystals?"
Brick MM adjusted her glasses and smiled. "Actually, that’s exactly why I was looking for you."
"Oh?"
Brick MM said, "You’ve been to the Blue Moon Mountain Range, right? That area connects the southern and central regions and hasn't been fully explored yet. As far as I know, besides the Fire Cave on the mountain, there’s also an Ice Cave. I don't know what monsters are inside, but there are plenty of crystals there—natural crystals. You can go there to train Yiyi."
Wu Hua was overjoyed.
Brick MM added, "Don't rush off yet. I’m researching a new type of weapon and urgently need natural energy synthetic crystals—note, synthetic crystals, not the metal for alloy armor. You’re agile; go get some samples. I only need to know their composition."
"OK, mission accepted." Wu Hua turned his head. "Yiyi, let’s move out."
Yiyi nodded, did a somersault onto Wu Hua’s arm, and climbed up to sit on his shoulder.
