If things continued like this, the end result would only be a wrecked vehicle and lost lives.

After weighing the situation for two brief seconds, she put the car away.

The two of them appeared before the crowd of pig-headed thugs, surrounded on all sides.

Just as Su Man was wondering whether to cause another commotion, a pig-headed man wearing leather shoes pushed through the crowd.

“Grab them all. The boss wants to deal with this personally.”

Upon hearing this, Su Man, who had been ready to resist, immediately froze. She thought to herself that this was her chance to meet the boss—such an opportunity didn’t come often.

So the two were bound tightly and pushed toward Boss Zhu’s office.

When they entered, Boss Zhu was still asleep. At the noise, his snoring abruptly stopped, and his pig-like eyes blinked open, still dazed.

Su Man hadn’t expected the boss to literally be a pig. As she wondered how to communicate with such a creature, Boss Zhu spoke first.

“Just you two?”

“Causing trouble in my factory? Which shop are you from? No one taught you any rules?”

As he spoke, Boss Zhu stuffed an unknown piece of meat into his mouth and chewed loudly with exaggerated smacking sounds. His gaze toward Su Man and the others was disdainful, barely acknowledging their presence.

“I’m the manager of Good Eats Fast Food,” Su Man replied calmly and confidently, her brow unflinching. “I’m here to ask who gave you what kind of benefits to make trouble for a small shop like ours.”

“Good Eats Fast Food?” Upon hearing the name, Boss Zhu stopped chewing and fixed her with a fierce, terrifying pig face, as if trying to examine her thoroughly.

“Just you?” He seemed skeptical that she could be worth Boss Duan’s attention.

His eyes scanned her up and down but found nothing remarkable, then he slumped back onto his small couch, resuming his loud chewing as if savoring his food.

“Boss Duan?” Su Man furrowed her brow. Not the Tong family?

What was this Duan family? She didn’t recall ever dealing with anyone named Duan.

“A big boss with eyes in the sky,” Boss Zhu’s piggy eyes glanced sideways. “You’re just a small-time owner in a tiny place—you definitely wouldn’t have access to someone like him.”

He paused, then added, “Actually, how did someone like you catch Boss Duan’s attention?”

Boss Zhu looked stupid but was cunning, and seeing Su Man, suspicion stirred in his mind. Yes, what was so special about such a weak woman?

Before he could figure it out, the pig-headed man in leather shoes approached him quietly and reported, “Boss Zhu, your cousin has been killed.”

“There are also some workers who were killed.” The man handed over a document, which seemed to be a summary of the losses caused by Su Man and her group.

“My cousin?” Boss Zhu rolled his pig eyes. “If he’s dead, then he’s dead. I’ve got plenty more cousins.”

But when he saw the employees killed by Su Man’s group, he grew restless. Transforming into a pig-headed man with five swim rings around his waist, he furrowed his brow. “So many died? Can the factory still operate?”

The leather-shoed pig-headed man remained silent, aware it was pointless to speak.

Sure enough, Boss Zhu shot a fierce glare at Su Man and Sun Li. “You’ve committed an unforgivable crime! I’m going to turn you all into pigs! You’ll stay here and work for me until you die!”

He clenched his hands, summoning a ball of white light and hurled it toward them.

Su Man had sensed the danger even before he spoke. A dagger appeared in her hand; she swiftly cut the ropes binding her and, just as the light orb was about to strike Sun Li, she grabbed him and rolled away, narrowly dodging it.

The chair behind them, struck by the light orb, instantly transformed into a piglet.

This pig-headed boss actually had the power to turn people into pigs!

There might be limitations, but Su Man had no intention of testing them lightly.

“Huh? You even dare to dodge!” Boss Zhu roared in anger. “Turn them all into pigs!!”

“Just as Boss Duan wants me to deal with you, perfect. Stay here and become pigs to work for me! This doesn’t go against Boss Duan’s wishes!”

He mentioned Boss Duan again. Su Man made a mental note to meet this Boss Duan if she got the chance.

For now, this pig-headed boss was tough to handle.

She had initially hoped to negotiate, but since he was already intent on eliminating her, negotiation was clearly futile.

She would have to see if she could defeat Boss Zhu quickly.

But when she truly faced off against Boss Zhu, Su Man realized her earlier assumptions were mistaken.

Though he was a pig, Boss Zhu’s abilities were formidable. The light he projected was blocked by her dagger, but she could clearly feel a force altering the dagger’s structure.

Though difficult, she managed to suppress the strange energy.

Boss Zhu watched his skill strike the dagger but fail to turn it into a pig. He took notice.

“No wonder you’re so arrogant to cause trouble here—you must have some skill. Fine, I’ll have to show some of my own, or you’ll continue to underestimate me.”

He clasped his hands together, then separated them, revealing an energy crystal forming in his palms.

Su Man sensed danger emanating from the crystal.

“If I’m going to hand you over to Boss Duan, you won’t be dead—better to preserve you first.”

“If I prepare you as fresh ingredients, maybe Boss Duan will like that too.”

Boss Zhu muttered to himself as he pushed the crystal toward Su Man and Sun Li.

This was one of his abilities: a compressed space to keep food fresh, preserving it in its freshest state.

Su Man wanted to avoid it but, for some reason, her body felt nailed to the spot, unable to move. Her face contorted with effort.

“Hah, a mere human like you, why should you escape? Just accept your fate. Old Zhu doesn’t want to waste time.”

Boss Zhu seemed resigned to the outcome and paid little attention to Su Man. He reverted to his large fat pig form, lying back on his small couch, humming a carefree tune. Another profit effortlessly came in.

But the next moment, the small crystal enclosing Su Man and Sun Li suddenly exploded.

A red light enveloped Su Man, faintly forming a red protective shield around her and Sun Li. On the shield, a red crow soared and cried out.

“Red crow... the Tong family?”

The fat pig Boss Zhu sat up shakily, eyes wide with shock. “You’re from the Tong family?”

The question he had forgotten earlier resurfaced in his mind. If she was from the Tong family, it made sense why Boss Duan targeted her—after all, Boss Duan had long been at odds with the Tong family.

Cold sweat appeared on his massive pig head. Boss Duan was causing him trouble! If he really killed a Tong family member, the Tong family might not have evidence to go after Boss Duan but surely wouldn’t spare old Zhu.

His thoughts raced. This might be a trap set by Boss Duan! He was just a pawn!

At that moment, a panicked pig-headed man hurried in from outside.

“Boss Zhu, bad news! Boss Duan has killed many of our brothers! Boss Duan is coming back with reinforcements! They’ll be here any moment!”
