Chapter 129: Some Say I Surpass Everything in This World
“Young master, are you still not awake?”
The gentle knock from the maid roused Sheng Que from his sleep. He blinked groggily, realizing he had spent the entire night lying face down on the pillow.
Like a ragdoll.
“I’m awake…”
Sheng Que struggled to get up and opened the door. “What is it?”
The maid was caught off guard by the sight before her: the young master’s hair was tousled and slightly curled atop his head, his collar slipping off one shoulder, and the edge of his SpongeBob pajamas revealed red marks.
She smiled softly. “I came to wake you for breakfast. President Fu specifically instructed me to say you hadn’t eaten anything all night.”
Sheng Que: “…”
Damn Fu Chen.
If it’s just about breakfast, say so. Why emphasize that he didn’t eat last night?
Like it’s meant to make him look like a hopeless mess or something!
Grinding his teeth, Sheng Que snapped, “Where is he?”
That question was beyond the maid’s knowledge.
She shook her head. “I’m not sure. President Fu hasn’t returned since he left yesterday afternoon.”
Sheng Que: “…”
How could he have the nerve to say he liked him, liked him so much, always liked him?
After sleeping and then disappearing without a trace, he was treating him like a fool!
Now he really was a little broken monkey.
Sheng Que pulled out his phone and mimicked Fu Chen’s calm and indifferent style, sending a hundred question marks.
The reply came.
Just one question mark.
?
【Sheng Que】: ???
【Fu Chen】: Awake? Have you eaten?
Sheng Que’s eyes flared with anger at the text.
Is this guy only concerned about whether he’s eaten first thing in the morning?
【Fu Chen】: Does it still hurt?
Sheng Que’s fingers, poised to type a string of curses, froze. After a moment of silence, he blinked slowly, feeling his cheeks flush with warmth.
His mind was filled with Fu Chen’s cold, distant face, whispering “Little Que, Que Que” by his ear, no longer sternly commanding him to kneel.
Sheng Que no longer felt much.
He lay on the carpet, legs crossed, and replied.
【Sheng Que】: It hurts [crying emoji]
【Fu Chen】: Good boy, I’ll be back as soon as I’m done here.
【Sheng Que】: What are you doing?
This time, Fu Chen sent a photo.
The once orderly villa was in chaos. Ambulances flashed red and blue lights. His closest brother held Shen Da’s neck, fervently and passionately kissing him without restraint.
It was truly reckless.
Sheng Que could even see a line of onlookers watching.
【Sheng Que】: ?????
Fu Chen sat inside the ambulance, amused. He could tell how shocked Sheng Que was and thought about how to briefly explain what happened.
But Sheng Que wasn’t curious at all.
【Sheng Que】: There’s no me, your little Que, in such a scene. Why didn’t you call me? Don’t you consider me a brother!!!???
【Fu Chen】: …
【Fu Chen】: Little Que, manners.
Fu Chen said this instinctively but then thought Sheng Que might not like hearing it, so he sent a hospital address.
He was preparing to have the driver pick him up.
【Sheng Que】: I’m coming right now!
【Sheng Que】: Little kiss, mUa!
...
Zhou Yili’s injuries were still serious.
When Bo Yu provoked him, his mind went blank, but he forced himself to regain composure, channeling all the bloodshed and violence onto himself.
“Ouch, you sure are harsh on yourself.”
The doctor carefully bandaged his wounds. “If it were any deeper, you’d see the bone.”
Zhou Yili glanced at Shen Jixing, who kept staring at his injuries.
Feeling a bit guilty, he cleared his throat. “It’s healed. It’s not that bad. Just a small wound, a few days and it’ll be fine.”
The doctor who was bandaging him: “A few days??? Do you think you’re Superman...”
Zhou Yili silently kicked him, gritting his teeth and whispering, “Use your eyes. Didn’t you see how pale my man looks?”
His man lifted his long eyes slightly.
Zhou Yili retracted his leg without another word.
The shift in authority happened instantly, mainly because of that kiss.
Zhou Yili could feel Shen Jixing was completely stunned in that moment, having been half-forced, half-dominantly kissed in front of everyone.
Guilty, yes — but also undeniably thrilled.
After the doctor finished dressing his injuries, he looked at Shen Jixing. “Have you treated your wound yet?”
Zhou Yili was taken aback.
Shen Jixing was silent for a moment, then extended his hand, showing a faint cut on his palm. But unlike Zhou Yili, he wasn’t reckless; it didn’t look too serious.
“When did you get it?” Zhou Yili sat up abruptly.
“Sit down,” Shen Jixing said.
Zhou Yili resumed his seat and took Shen Jixing’s hand, gently blowing on the wound.
“How did this happen?”
The person who bled so profusely without reaction was alarmed by a small cut.
Shen Jixing had only treated it simply.
After the doctor left, he said, “I accidentally scratched it while threatening Bo Yu.”
“How clumsy.”
Zhou Yili looked at the bloodstain on his palm and added, “Not clumsy — very clever.”
Shen Jixing’s expression finally softened. “Yes, I’m clever. You don’t have to come find me intentionally. I’ll find a way back on my own.”
Before, he simply didn’t want to.
But now, since he wanted to, there were many ways to return.
Zhou Yili looked at him and couldn’t help but smile, about to pull him close for some affection.
Suddenly Shen Jixing asked, “Does it hurt?”
He was far too clever; he could almost deduce what had happened from the facts.
The little lion, amidst emotional torment, chose to hurt himself.
Did it hurt much?
“It’s okay,” Zhou Yili nudged his palm with his nose. “As long as I can control it. That old bastard is a master manipulator; I almost fell for his tricks.”
Shen Jixing said nothing, quietly watching him.
“But I woke up afterward.”
Feeling Shen Jixing’s presence pulled him completely from the devil’s abyss.
“At that moment, I thought, you wouldn’t like me if I were like this.”
No matter how evil Bo Yu was, Zhou Yili couldn’t expect Shen Jixing to love him in such a state.
Shen Jixing’s lips moved slightly, “No.”
He didn’t approve, but he didn’t dislike Zhou Yili either.
“Someone said I’m better than all else in the world.”
Zhou Yili didn’t know what he was thinking but smiled with a slight lift of his eyes. “I can’t just let his words fail.”
Zhou Yili didn’t think he was anything special.
But at least, he wouldn’t be covered in filth and force Shen Jixing to love him.
The air seemed to still.
Shen Jixing looked into his eyes and softly asked, “A toy, then?”
Zhou Yili: “???”
Suddenly remembering something, Zhou Yili laughed. “What, do you really want to play with me?”
Shen Jixing raised his long lashes and looked at him. “Yes.”
Zhou Yili’s heartbeat made roses bloom in his chest. Shen Jixing glanced at his sleeve, then slowly leaned in with a faint smile.
Just as the hospital room door opened, he calmly and gracefully sat back in his seat.
Sheng Que, surprised, brought Fu Chen in. “Brother, I heard you got hurt. It’s serious, right???”
Zhou Yili swallowed nervously and glanced sideways. “It’s fine. Want to try copying me?”
Sheng Que quickly hid behind Fu Chen and asked, “So, little kiss got hurt fighting for you guys?”
A moment of silence.
Little Kiss: “Yeah.”
