"How would we know if we haven't looked?" Lin Jia frowned. Every time they thought about their future, a sense of anxiety would wash over them. While the game was fun, they couldn't just play it carefree forever. If nothing else, they couldn't even afford their internet fees.

"I heard that jobs like delivering newspapers, handing out flyers, delivering milk, or selling insurance don't require a diploma. Should we go try one of those sometime?" Lin Jia said casually while logging into his account. Those jobs did exist, but could this group of young men lower their pride enough to do such menial work?

Boss also logged in to clear out his inventory, then suddenly stared blankly at the 35 gold bars in his account. He muttered, "How about... we sell these gold bars?"

"What?" Lin Jia and Fourth were stunned. Once it sank in, their eyes ignited with excitement. Right! Why hadn't they thought of that!? Although the price of *Legend* currency had dropped since the server opened, one gold bar could still fetch between 100 and 150 yuan on the black market. If they sold all 35 million gold coins they held, that would be a huge sum of money!

"Yeah!!!!" Lin Jia and Fourth jumped up, hugging each other and cheering in unison, "Damn! Damn! We're rich! How did we not think of this earlier!?"

"You psychos!" Meimei said huffily as she walked in carrying a pot of freshly brewed tea. Seeing Lin Jia and Fourth jumping around, she rolled her eyes at them; she would never understand the boys' obsession with online games.

Seeing Meimei, Lin Jia’s brain, as if struck by high-voltage electricity, quickly came up with a plan. He grabbed Meimei’s soft little hand and ran downstairs, scaring her into struggling desperately as she shouted, "What are you doing? What are you doing!?"

Lin Jia looked back and gave a lewd, giggling grin, "Wife! Let's go get registered~?" His words made Meimei’s face turn pale with shock, while Boss and Fourth laughed wildly.

Shy and angry, Meimei reached out with her free hand and pinched Lin Jia’s arm hard again. "Who is your wife! You crazy fool, what are you spouting?" Lin Jia let out a miserable shriek. Boss and Fourth felt the pain for him, as Lin Jia’s cry was truly piercing!

Lin Jia clutched his arm, his face twisted in pain, and he acted pitifully, "Meimei! I have such deep feelings for you, why don't you understand my heart!?" Boss and Fourth roared with laughter again. Despite Lin Jia’s honest and well-behaved appearance, he was incredibly bold when talking to girls, which made Fourth feel both envious and jealous.

Meimei, a young girl, could hardly handle Lin Jia’s thick-skinned teasing. Plus, after getting to know him, there was a vague, ambiguous attraction between them. Sometimes he would secretly hold her hand or take small liberties, often making the girl’s heart flutter and her face turn bright red, though she couldn't bring herself to get angry. Having been suddenly dragged away by Lin Jia, she was startled and accidentally used too much force, and now with him saying such embarrassing things, poor Meimei was caught between shyness and the fear that she had hurt him too badly.

Seeing that Meimei wasn't really angry anymore, Lin Jia laughed cheekily and ran over to hold her hand again, saying, "Let's go, let's go! I'm just kidding!"

Lin Jia actually just went downstairs to find a piece of 16k white paper. He used a ballpoint pen to scribble a bold advertisement: "Legend 'Guangmang' Server selling Legend gold coins! 100 yuan per gold bar! Buyers, please register at the front desk with the beautiful internet cafe attendant!" He then used clear tape to stick the crooked advertisement on the outside of the front desk, making it very eye-catching.

Meimei stared at Lin Jia’s actions in a daze. After he finished, she asked in astonishment, "You little maniac! Why are you posting ads for playing a game? Don't tell me things in the game can actually be sold for money?" Seeing Meimei inside the counter, Lin Jia suddenly noticed that the cafe’s main terminal next to her was empty. He blinked, slipped into the counter with a cheeky grin, and wheedled, "Meimei! Can I borrow the main computer for a bit?"

Seeing Lin Jia run behind the counter, Meimei straightened her pretty face and said, "No! Get out, get out! Our boss doesn't allow customers behind the counter! And you're not allowed to touch the main computer!"

Lin Jia pursed his lips and said, "What? The boss isn't even here, what's the harm in using it? Besides, I've seen you playing games and chatting on QQ on that computer before!"

Meimei’s fair, tender face turned red. Embarrassed, she stubbornly retorted, "I did not! Don't talk nonsense!"

Seeing Meimei wouldn't agree, Lin Jia rolled his eyes and played the victim, pulling up his sleeveless shirt to reveal the shocking bruise on his arm where Meimei had pinched him earlier. He pleaded pitifully, "Good Meimei! Look, you pinched me like this and I didn't even complain! See? The one from last week hasn't even healed, and now it's swollen again. Can't you just lend it to me? I just need to go on the game and trade some items! Consider it compensation for me!?"

This boy had a strange physique; he was naturally fair-skinned, and his skin was even more delicate than a girl’s, making the injury look quite frightening. This thick-skinned guy was actually using this to blackmail the girl.

"Oh my!" Meimei cried out. Frightened, she leaned in, her slender fingers trembling as she tried to touch it but didn't dare. Lin Jia deliberately let out an "Ouch!" which made the little girl quickly pull her hand back. She asked timidly, "I'm sorry! I didn't know I used that much force! Are... are you in pain? Should I rub it for you?" As she spoke, she leaned in and gently cradled Lin Jia’s arm, pouting her soft, pink lips to blow gently on the bruise, rubbing it with her soft little hands.

Lin Jia had only come in to borrow the computer to make trading with players easier, so he wouldn't have to keep running up and down the stairs. Who knew Meimei would be so soft-hearted as to help him rub his injury? It made Lin Jia go completely stiff.

The space behind the counter was already cramped, piled high with boxes of drinks and instant noodles for sale. With the cabinets and a freezer taking up 80% of the space, the remaining square meter held a computer terminal. The only bit of room left was a swivel chair. As Meimei squeezed in, Lin Jia had nowhere to go and found himself pressed right up against her.

Leaning against the counter, Lin Jia had half his backside perched on the operation desk. Aside from the computer and various bottles and jars, it could barely support him. But as he sat, his thighs were inevitably bent, and as Meimei leaned in, she was forced to stand right between his legs in the narrow space.
