At present, Qian Yunyue was still in an infant’s body, devoid of any power of her own. All the abilities she now displayed were entirely borrowed from that mysterious source of primordial power. But she was far too young; her body could withstand only a limited amount of such force. In the face of Bibi Dong’s full might, she was utterly defenseless.

Fortunately, Bibi Dong, still harboring guilt over injuring Qian Yunyue nine years ago, noticed the jade’s surface dimming and dull, and recalled something. She instantly withdrew her spider legs.

Qian Xunji’s wounds had already healed by now. He reached out and caught the falling jade.

Within the jade, Qian Yunyue’s consciousness slipped once again into slumber. She did not regret her actions. No matter what, Qian Xunji was her father—she could never stand by and watch as the father who cherished her was slain by her mother.

“Yuer…” Sensing the increasingly faint aura within the jade, Qian Xunji panicked, channeling his soul power into it at once.

By the entrance to the secret chamber, Qian Daoliu arrived just as Bibi Dong retracted her spider legs. Seeing that Qian Yunyue was in peril, he hurried into the chamber.

He had carefully protected his granddaughter for nine years, only for her to be wounded by Bibi Dong once more. Suppressed fury simmered in Qian Daoliu’s heart.

“Father, Yuer…” Qian Xunji looked up at Qian Daoliu, about to speak, but Qian Daoliu had already scooped the jade containing Qian Yunyue into his arms and turned to hurry toward the Hall of Worship, with Qian Xunji following closely behind.

Given the crisis, father and son had no time for Bibi Dong. After they left, Bibi Dong finally came to herself in the silent chamber, murmuring blankly, “I… I’ve hurt Yuer again…”

But this time, she truly hadn’t meant to…

The Hall of Worship.

Within the depths of Qian Yunyue’s consciousness, while she was lost in sleep, a faint, stuttering sound of electricity suddenly rose up.

The weak noise did not last long before a mechanical, electronic voice echoed: “Host’s life detected in critical danger. Activating inter-world connection function…”

Had Qian Yunyue heard the system’s voice, she would have been utterly astonished. She had always believed the system was gone, but it turned out it was still there.

Indeed, the system had never vanished; it had simply been slumbering deep within that primordial source fused with Qian Yunyue. This time, her grievous injury had finally roused it.

In its current state, the system could save Qian Yunyue at any cost, but that would mean its own true demise—it would never be able to find another host. Thus, it could only activate its passive skill.

This function allowed it to borrow the power of mighty figures from other worlds, traversing time and space. However, the selection was random; whether the borrowed power would be useful depended entirely on the host’s luck.

On a distant, mysterious continent, an elderly man sat at a teahouse by the street, savoring his tea. Sensing something unusual, his hand paused mid-air, cup in hand.

“How interesting.”

He felt an invisible force envelop him, tugging relentlessly at his soul. A glimmer of contemplation flashed in Zhongli’s eyes. Coincidentally, he was curious about the source of this strange power, so he sent a sliver of consciousness to follow the pull and investigate.

He didn’t know how long had passed—it seemed but the blink of an eye. Zhongli found himself in a space filled with golden seals, reminiscent of the secret realm where he had sealed the Ruotuo Dragon King.

Was he still on the continent of Teyvat? Zhongli was uncertain, for in this space he sensed nothing of Teyvat's familiar aura.

At the center of this realm floated a newborn girl. With his discerning gaze, Zhongli immediately saw through her condition.

“Fascinating—self-imposed sealing. This girl is extraordinary by birth.”

Zhongli approached the infant, shaking his head gently. “Yet, what a pity—twice injured, and even a self-seal is of no avail.”

He did not know what calamity had befallen this little one, but a trace of compassion stirred within him. For her to encounter him was fated; he would bestow upon her a stroke of fortune.

Raising his hand, Zhongli gathered his strength, slowly forming a Celestial Star.

The Celestial Star, condensed from the power of the Geo Archon, merged into Qian Yunyue’s body, leaving a golden Geo sigil at the center of her brow.

As the Celestial Star entered her, divine power coursed through her limbs and bones, and Qian Yunyue’s condition improved at once. Seeing the girl now out of danger, Zhongli’s figure gradually faded from the space.

Back in the teahouse, Zhongli’s eyes flew open. He glanced around, realizing that his journey had lasted only a few minutes.

Staring at a wisp of golden light swirling around his fingertips, Zhongli was astonished. This was a trace of energy that had been returned to him when he sent the Celestial Star into the girl’s body.

At first, Zhongli paid it little heed, but to his surprise, this faint thread of power could purify erosion. Though insignificant in amount, it was proof of the power’s extraordinary nature.

After all, in Teyvat, no one had ever been able to purify erosion. Just who was that young girl, to possess such a wondrous ability?

Suppressing his shock, Zhongli maintained his steady composure. He told the teahouse to “put it on Wangsheng Funeral Parlor’s tab,” then rose and left—he needed to study this power carefully.

Meanwhile, in the Hall of Worship, the heavy, stifling atmosphere lifted as Qian Yunyue’s vitality was restored, and the jade’s surface once again shone with brilliant light.

Upon seeing this, Qian Daoliu and his son were overjoyed. They had tried every means they knew, all to little avail. They had truly believed Yuer could not survive this time, yet at the critical moment, she pulled through by her own strength.

The two exchanged a glance. Recalling the many strange abilities Qian Yunyue had manifested, they silently reached an agreement—this child was destined for greatness. Twice she had faced mortal peril and emerged unscathed; she must be blessed with extraordinary fortune.

“Grandfather, is my little sister all right now?” Qian Renxue ran to Qian Daoliu’s side, her face filled with worry and concern for her sister.

At nine years old, Qian Renxue was precocious and mature for her age. She could naturally judge the situation around her, but because Qian Yunyue was her own sister, she needed her elders’ reassurance before she could truly be at ease.

Qian Daoliu patted her head and smiled gently. “Yes, your sister is fine now. She’ll soon emerge from her seal, and then she’ll grow up just like you, awakening her martial spirit.”

Hearing that Qian Yunyue would soon be out of the stone, Qian Renxue was overjoyed, brimming with energy.

Qian Xunji adored his younger daughter and doted on his elder, Qian Renxue, as well. Taking her hand, he said softly, “Xue’er, you must train diligently. When your sister comes out, you must set a good example for her.”

“I will! I’ll train hard, protect my sister, and later protect Father and Grandfather too!” Qian Renxue clenched her fists and nodded firmly, her expression resolute.

Qian Xunji glanced at Qian Daoliu, only to find his father ignoring him.

Qian Daoliu couldn’t help but harbor some resentment toward Qian Xunji. If not for Yuer, this son of his would have lost his life. Remembering how his precious granddaughter nearly perished because of her father’s troubles, Qian Daoliu fumed inwardly.

Yet, Qian Xunji was his only son. No matter how much of a scoundrel he had been, Qian Daoliu still wished for his safety.
