Gazing at Lu Mingfei’s carefully arranged defensive formation, Aircraft Head merely snorted coldly.
“No need to bother with that, just charge straight in.”
Indeed, there was no need to care, as his side already held overwhelming numbers. All that was needed was a full push forward—destroy whatever stood in the way—and Lu Mingfei’s meticulously deployed defenses would be torn apart.
As Aircraft Head’s massive force advanced, the two sides officially engaged in their first clash. The Zerg’s toxic explosion dogs led the way, and as expected, Lu Mingfei had laid out a large number of invisible widow mines right in front of the base.
In typical battles, the first wave of widow mines could often wipe out about thirty percent of the enemy’s forces. But against a five-man team, these widow mines were clearly insufficient.
Although many Zerglings and riflemen were killed in the blasts, there was hardly any visible reduction in the enemy’s numbers.
“Do you want me to assist?” Su Xiaoqiang leaned close to Lu Mingfei, lowering his voice to ask.
“No need, just do exactly as I taught you,” Lu Mingfei replied.
After using the toxic explosion dogs to clear the initial widow mines, Aircraft Head’s side adjusted their tactics, pulling back the weaker vanguard units and sending out the tougher “bulls” to absorb fire up front, while the ranged units focused on dismantling bunkers and anti-air turrets.
However, despite their toughness, the bulls’ health steadily dwindled under the concentrated barrage.
At the moment the bull’s health flashed red, the Zerg Queen arrived on the battlefield, instantly healing the bull to full health.
Bunker after bunker was torn down.
Aircraft Head sneered. So what if it was the “Ming God”? Even in a 5v2 scenario, the advantage was clearly his.
He was curious to see what else Lu Mingfei could possibly do.
In response to Aircraft Head’s challenge, Lu Mingfei gave his answer without hesitation.
He abandoned defense entirely, conceding this section of the base, and withdrew his Gundam and Baldy units to team up with the riflemen for guerrilla tactics!
Under the distraction of the riflemen, the clumsy bulls found themselves trapped, their health soon hitting the red again, and they were mercilessly kited to death.
“The Ming God wants to die standing,” Pineapple Head lamented. “He knows he can’t hold the line, so he’s swapping out more units to at least lose with some dignity.”
“Losing 2v6 and breaking a base is hardly dignified,” Aircraft Head said. “Let me send him off properly.”
After Lu Mingfei’s Gundam and Goliath units were almost wiped out, Aircraft Head finally deployed the flying dragon units hidden behind his main force.
The 180-population flying dragon army hovered densely like migrating birds over Lu Mingfei’s base, looking down on the scattered remnants below.
Aircraft Head did not rush to command his flying dragons to dismantle Lu Mingfei’s home. Instead, they faced off silently.
“Go ahead and GG yourself, Ming God,” Aircraft Head taunted.
Lu Mingfei shrugged. “We haven’t lost yet. Maybe there’s still a chance to turn this around?”
“Turn it around?”
Aircraft Head suddenly found it amusing. Lu Mingfei actually thought he could reverse this?

He really wanted to know how he could lose with flying dragons dominating the skies.
Just then, a cold warning crackled into Aircraft Head’s earpiece:
“Nuclear launch detected.”
Aircraft Head froze.
Not only him, but his teammates also heard it, and the squad’s voice comms instantly erupted into chaos.
“Damn, a nuke!”
“Quick, find the red dot!”
“No need, the red dot’s right on us.”
Yes, the nuclear strike was targeted directly at them, in the very center of their massive army numbering hundreds of units.
In an instant, everyone scrambled to scatter their troops, trying desperately to avoid the atomic blast.
But in their panic, command broke down; units got stuck on each other, immobilized, helplessly watching as the nuke descended, turning their carefully built forces to flames and ashes.
Even the units barely surviving the blast were almost entirely blood-red in health.
...
Aircraft Head and his comrades exchanged grim looks, their faces darkening.
A 2v6 situation, and yet Lu Mingfei had inflicted such devastating losses.
It was as if Lu Mingfei had anticipated every move they made and had prepared a nuke in advance to counter their combined assault.
Fortunately, Lu Mingfei had only one nuke. If he had more... the result might truly have been turned on its head!
Aircraft Head suddenly felt relieved that he had ordered the attack early, denying Lu Mingfei the time to build more nukes.
Had they decided to drag the fight on for a decisive late-game battle as initially planned, the outcome would have been uncertain.
Though their own situation was dire… in the end, they had won.
Yes, despite the nuclear strike leveling many of their troops and leaving their remaining units barely clinging to life, they still emerged victorious.
Because Lu Mingfei’s forces were far fewer, his base heavily damaged, and he had run out of resources!
“The Ming God is badass,” Pineapple Head couldn’t help but exclaim.
“But in the end, we won,” Aircraft Head said stubbornly, though he had to admit, his heart was thoroughly impressed by Lu Mingfei.
The survivors quickly regrouped. Despite the nuke having struck right in the middle of Aircraft Head’s massed troops, their sheer numbers were overwhelming.
Even after the nuclear strike, around 200 units remained.

Under Aircraft Head’s command, the remaining forces surged up the hill, preparing to deliver the final blow to Lu Mingfei.
But the next moment, Aircraft Head’s expression changed abruptly, for he heard that warning again in his earpiece.
“Nuclear launch detected.”
“Nuclear launch detected.”
“Nuclear launch detected.”
“Nuclear launch detected.”
“Nuclear launch detected.”
It wasn’t a single warning repeated five times, but five separate alarms ringing out one after another in his headset.
Five nukes?
“Impossible!” Aircraft Head roared in disbelief. “That last wave of Gundams, tanks, and riflemen was at least 180 population. How could he possibly have that many units and bases?”
In StarCraft version 1.08, the Terran nuclear strike had strict limitations.
Firstly, each base could only produce one nuclear missile. Secondly, each nuke required eight population units to be allocated.
Altogether, Lu Mingfei had launched six nukes at them, meaning he must have had at least six bases and had to reserve 48 population worth of units for those nukes.
Adding to the units he had already unleashed... his total population far exceeded the 200-unit limit.
But there was no time to ponder. From the alert to impact, only ten seconds remained.
They had to find the red dots marking the nukes’ impact zones and move all troops out of danger within those ten seconds.
But... there were none.
Their eyes frantically scanned around their forces but found no red dots at all.
Where had he dropped the nukes?
As a loud explosion sounded in their headsets, warning signs blinked across their screens—their bases were under attack.
They quickly switched views to their home bases and finally understood where Lu Mingfei had placed the nukes.
Five nukes—he had gifted each opponent’s base with one.
