Chapter 12: Another Upgrade! Unlocking the Level Leaderboard!

The five-headed eyeless snakes had their tails severed and lay motionless on the ground, completely immobilized. Ye Chuyun wasted no time, slashing off each of their heads with a single stroke.

From the five-headed eyeless snakes, a total of 100 energy points were acquired. Ye Chuyun's experience advanced to Level 2 (230/300). Only four more eyeless snakes needed to be slain for him to level up again.

[Divine Demon Coins ×30]
[Essence of Eyeless Snake: Consuming it grants +3 Agility.] ×5
[Venom of Eyeless Snake: Highly poisonous.] ×5
[Eyeless Snake Leather Armor: Defense +5, Constitution +2.] ×3

Another great haul. He consumed the essences immediately, enhanced the eyeless snake leather armor, and donned it without hesitation.

Ye Chuyun eagerly opened his status panel.

Name: Ye Chuyun
Level: 2 (230/300)
Strength: 47
Agility: 49
Constitution: 47
Spirit: 29
Combat Power: 384 (344 + 40)
Divine Demon Coins: 933
Skills: Identification LV3, Stealth LV1, Vision Enhancement LV1, Strength Amplification LV1, Speed Amplification LV1.

His combat power had reached an astonishing 384. In terms of true strength, he might even challenge ordinary Level 2 ferocious beasts single-handedly. Just one area had boosted his power so significantly.

Ye Chuyun’s eyes gleamed as he glanced toward the other five regions. Smiling, he decisively set off toward the second region.

...

At the same moment, beside a riverbank, an ugly blue giant frog lay collapsed on the ground, its blue blood pooling around it. Standing nearby were five people—Wang Gang’s squad.

“Hahaha, this Green Claw machete is definitely better than a rookie’s blade,” Lei Chen said, admiring the exquisite long sword in his hand with satisfaction.

Zhuang Liang hoisted his shield and smiled. “The captain bought this using his mission token plus 30 Divine Demon Coins. You’d better make good use of it.”

Lei Chen nodded. “Of course.”

Wang Gang looked down at the fallen blue giant frog. “This Level 2 ferocious beast, Blue Poison Frog, is worthy of its rank. Just one of these gave me 10 energy points.”

“Even soloing a Green Claw Beast doesn’t yield that much energy,” Lei Chen grumbled. “Sigh, I haven’t reached Level 2 yet, and you’re almost Level 3, captain. It’s frustrating.”

“Level 3 is still a ways off,” Wang Gang chuckled, glancing at his status panel showing Level 2 (258/300). He was about to boast in the chat channel when an announcement suddenly froze him in place.

[Announcement: Someone in Zone 118 has successfully reached Level 3, unlocking the level leaderboard.]
[Notice: The leaderboard currently only records rankings in Zone 118; only the top 100 players are listed.]

“Level 3? How could anyone be faster than me?” Wang Gang stared in disbelief.

Others quickly opened the leaderboard as well, and when they saw the name at the top, they were stunned.
