Chapter Nineteen: Fierce Battle with the Five Elders! Escape by Leaping into the Sea! (Please Continue Reading!)
Page 1/3
Roya flapped his wings desperately, the fierce wind propelling him at speeds beyond his limits. He had no choice but to push past his boundaries; one of the Five Elders, Izutsu Mantian, was hot on his tail. What merit did he possess to warrant the personal pursuit of a Five Elder? There were still so many monsters on the island, after all.
Little did he know, even for the Five Elders who stood at the pinnacle of the world, the Nature-type Mercury Fruit and the supreme twelve-step demon blade Bloodsea were treasures of the highest order. And wasn’t it just a matter of dealing with a mere brat? A trivial task—how much time could it possibly waste?
As he flew forward, Roya glanced back. No, it wouldn’t do—the gap was closing fast! How could such a massive creature still fly this fast? Was that even reasonable?
No, he had to think of a plan.
Roya’s eyes fixed on the distant shoreline ahead. He could see it clearly now—once he reached the sea, he could escape! The problem was how to buy time during this stretch.
Behind him, the monstrous bird opened its mouth wide, a fiery glow flaring deep within its throat. Suddenly, Roya turned sharply.
“So, you want to breathe fire, huh?”
Boom!
Flames erupted explosively from the monster’s mouth, a roaring torrent of fire surging forth that instantly enveloped the bird, turning it into a massive ball of fire.
“Heh heh!”
Roya grinned triumphantly, not pausing for a moment as he pressed forward. Wherever there was a suitable environment, he could unleash disasters at will!
The fireball exploded in the next instant. The monstrous bird, wrapped in an invisible aura, continued the chase.
“Advanced Armament Haki?” Roya clenched his teeth tightly.
Indeed, stopping this creature was no easy feat.
“You brat!”
The monster ceased breathing fire, but something even more terrifying swept toward him.
It was Conqueror’s Haki!
Stronger than even Big Brother Kaido by a significant margin!
This was Conqueror’s Haki with physical destructive power. Roya could clearly feel his body trembling.
“Roar!”
Roya roared with all his might.
Amid the earth-shaking beast’s howl, the shockwave sound combined with the surging Conqueror’s Haki, forming a unique vibration.
If one had to compare, it was similar to Aunt Ling Ling’s strange screams after losing her mind—two chaotic forces combining explosively to far exceed the sum of their parts.
Yet, it was still nowhere near the Conqueror’s Haki of a Five Elder.
All Roya could do was barely hold his ground under the bird’s Conqueror’s Haki.
But that was enough.
Izutsu Mantian’s Conqueror’s Haki could not affect Roya’s flight.
“Conqueror’s Haki?”
Maz, one of the pursuing Five Elders, was somewhat taken aback.
This brat was only seven years old!
If he managed to escape alive, given time, he could become another Rocks.
“Die!”
The monstrous bird breathed again.
But this time, what it unleashed was an invisible wave of energy! Black lightning flickered and leaped around it incessantly.

Roya’s heart sank.
Damn it—Haki shockwave!
Whether it contained Conqueror’s Haki or not, there was no way his hide could withstand it!
He instinctively twisted his body to evade; the swirling winds accelerated and propelled him further.
In the blink of an eye, Roya narrowly avoided the shockwave.
“Whoa!”
The black tiger snarled, “My tail!”
Half of its tail was severed.
Roya immediately realized that mere escape was impossible.
If he allowed the beast to attack while only dodging, it would inevitably catch up!
Just like now—after a single evasive move, the distance between them had shrunk to two or three hundred meters!
He had to fight desperately!
He shifted to the offensive.
While continuing to flee, Roya breathed heavily.
A large amount of black energy, invisible to ordinary eyes, was drawn into him like a giant funnel pouring into his body.
Though it didn’t instantly make him stronger, inhaling so much black energy brought significant changes.
For example, the half-severed tail began to rapidly regenerate. While not comparable to the Five Elders’ immortality, his recovery ability was extraordinary.
Then—
“Come on! Gale!”
A howling gale instantly engulfed the pursuing monster; razor-sharp wind blades fiercely sliced at Izutsu Mantian’s body, disrupting the airflow and slowing his flight.
“Thunder!”
Dark clouds gathered in the higher sky, and bolts of lightning mercilessly struck the monster.
“Meteor!”
The clouds tore open in streaks, and one after another, meteors over ten meters in diameter crashed down.
Roya kept breathing deeply without pause.
If he stopped, the heavy physical toll of overexerting his powers would drain him instantly.
But as long as he breathed, as long as he replenished his black energy, his stamina was inexhaustible.
“What is this brat’s ability?”
The monstrous bird’s body had turned completely black, its powerful aura deflecting the sharp wind blades and raging lightning.
Maz’s tone was filled with astonishment—wasn’t the Azure Dragon Fruit’s ability supposed to be less flashy?
But the more reason not to let him escape!
The monstrous bird displayed agility completely mismatched to its massive body, easily dodging the falling meteors.
But at that very moment—
“Volcano!”
Roya roared again.
Boom!
The meteors that brushed past the beast suddenly exploded on their surfaces, spewing scorching lava.
Caught off guard, Izutsu Mantian was hit directly by the molten eruption.
“Ugh!”
The force of the volcanic blast, combined with the searing lava, forced even the mighty Five Elder to stifle a grunt.
In that instant, a meteor slammed squarely onto the bird’s back, the immense force knocking it down.
Naturally, Roya seized the opportunity to continue his full-speed escape.
It was close now!
The sea was very near!
If only he could reach that place!
“Huh?”
Page 3/3
Roya, who had been watching behind him intently, suddenly froze.
The monstrous bird’s silhouette was gone from the sky.
Had it given up?
Rumble!
A sudden roar came from the shore ahead.
Roya instinctively looked over.
There, a huge magic circle had appeared on the coast, with thick smoke billowing up.
They had teleported ahead!
How despicable!
But teleportation must take time, right?
Well then, sorry—I win!
Roya abruptly dropped altitude, charging straight toward the magic circle.
“Collapse!”
The coastline shattered instantly, the area beneath the magic circle crumbling into a deep pit.
As Roya neared the shore, a twisted shadow emerged from within the magic circle.
“You’re in for bad luck now, Five Elder!”
Roya laughed aloud. “Like taking baths?”
Boom!
The edge of the pit closest to the sea collapsed instantly, seawater pouring in.
The moment Maz opened his eyes, he found himself submerged.
That damned brat!
The magic circle was immediately disrupted; the twisted shadow vanished without a trace.
“Such a pity!”
Roya clicked his tongue.
He had almost achieved the feat of soloing a Five Elder.
Looking back—
Behind him, the monstrous bird flapped its wings and soared into the sky once more.
But it was too late.
“Goodbye, Five Elder Maz!”
Roya smiled politely, bidding farewell to the elder before plunging headfirst into the sea without looking back.
Splash!
Waves splashed up on the ocean’s surface.
By the time the bird flapped its wings to pursue, the sea had returned to calm, with no sign of Roya’s presence.
“What is that brat doing?”
Maz was bewildered.
He certainly didn’t believe Roya had committed suicide.
Was someone coming to his aid?
Trouble indeed—letting this troublesome brat escape with these troublesome powers and weapons.
Deep beneath the sea, Roya leisurely exhaled bubbles.
The strong ocean currents carried him swiftly forward.
Because he wasn’t a Devil Fruit user, he could swim!
Now, he had finally escaped with his life.
